LABORATORY

The following well equipped laboratories cater to the needs of experimentation on advanced areas of Electronics and Telecommunication Engg.

Microprocessor Laboratory:

Equipped with about 25 different Microprocessor kits and about 25 Microcontroller kits, PC’s and other experimental modules.

Electronics circuits Laboratory:

Equipped with many modern training modules for basic electronics which lay the foundation for experimentation and design of complicated circuitry and a thorough knowledge of the properties and characteristics of different devices.

Communication Systems Laboratory:

Equipped with two Benchmark fibre Optics experimental kits, Storage Oscilloscopes, B.W. and Colour TV. demonstration Kits, Signal analyzer and other experimental modules.

Microwave and Radiation Laboratory:

It has 8753 AHP Vector Network Analyzer, TR 4172 Spectrum Analyzer, Giga Synthesized microwave source and other sophisticated equipments like Microwave benches etc.

Digital Electronics and Instrumentation Laboratory:

Equipped with, Digital Instrumentation tutors and about 30nos. of experimental modules and other equipments.

Computer laboratory:

Equipped with P4 PCs for students simulation/projects works. It has a high power HP-9000 E 45 mini system with four terminals.

Machined Intelligence Laboratory:

This laboratory is equipped with state of the art technology intelligent robot Pioneer-2DE procured from Active media Robotics LLC, USA, whose Cognition is being developed here. Graduate and Undergraduate students undertake their Project work on Building various programs for robots. This laboratory is equipped with P4 PCs.

Digital Signal Processing Laboratory:

This laboratory is equipped with Pentium IV Machines, scanner and post script printer, Related software, Digital camera and MATLAB, DSP kits & DSP Processors etc. Adequate facilities are available for both graduate and undergraduate students to take up their project work, in the areas of Digital Signal and Image Processing.

CYCLE – I

BJT Bias circuit (Design, construction & test).
BJT Common Emitter amplifier Circuit: Design, construction & test : (DC & AC Performance, AC Voltage gain,Input impedance & output impedance with by pass and un bypass Emitter resistor)
Square Wave Testing of an Amplifier
Common Emitter Amplifier: frequency response. (Low , High & Mid frequency response)

CYCLE – II

JFET Bias circuit. (Design, Construction & Test )
JFET Common Source & Common – Drain amplifier. ( Design , Construction & Test )
OP AMP. Schmitt trigger Circuit.
R.C.Phase shift Oscillator.
BJT Emitter follower. Design, construction & test: (DC & AC Performance, AC Voltage gain, Input impedance & output impedance investigated.).

BASIC CIRCUIT LAB

EXPERIMENT LIST:

Familiarity with electronics Components and Device.
(Testing of semiconductor Diode, Transistor and IC Pins Connection)
Study and Use of CRO to view Waveforms and measure its amplitude and frequency.
V – I characteristic of a semiconductor Diode . Determining DC & AC resistance.
H.W & F.W rectifiers without and with Capacitor filter. Record of waveforms , Measurement of average & RMS value.
V – I characteristic of a npn transistor . DC biasing and Measurement of a DC voltage & currents.
Gain frequency response of R.C.Coupled amplifier.
OP AMP in Inverting , non Inverting, Integrating & Differentiating configuration, record of waveforms.
Truth table of logic Gates.
